Another superb commedy.
This shows that you do not need a big concept to make a film or write a novel. Not much happen in this movie. It does not try to show a lot of things. Instead it focuses on the few objectives it had and gave them time and moments, beautiful moments, or moments of dispair – letting the audience to sink in, feel those moments like real life events. I think this is where the film succeeds.
The film focuses on the ordinary struggles of two ordinary restaurent owners – siblings. The story was unlike the usual Hollywood stories. It does not try to leave the audience in a happy, fullfilling state, and it does not try to glorify the lives of its characters by making their problems extra-ordinary or over the top (which for some reason happens in most Hollywood films). Instead it always remains grounded. The twist of the film is also humble, so much so that it might not feel as a twist.
Performance was excellant. Ending was perfectly time. And it was full of life and lessons.
